Dear International Students:

2024-2025学年寒假放假时间为2025年1月11日至2025年2月14日。2月15-16日报到注册，2月17日开始上课。为确保大家假期安全，国际教育学院现将国际学生寒假注意系列事项提醒如下，请认真阅读并相互告知。

The winter vacation for the 2024-2025 academic year is from January 11, 2025 to February 14, 2025. Registration will be on February 15-16, and classes will resume on February 17. To ensure everyone's safety during the vacation, School of International Education would like to remind you the following series of tips. Please read carefully and inform each other.

1.所有国际学生需遵守法律法规、校纪校规。违反中国法律、法令、法规受到公安、司法部门处罚者，视其情节轻重，给予严重警告直至开除学籍处分；尤其是谨防非法打工、签证过期、酗酒闹事、校外住宿扰民等常见违法违纪行为发生。

All international students must comply with Chinese laws and regulations and Henan University's policies.

Those who violate Chinese laws, regulations, and rules and are punished by public security and judicial departments shall also be given a serious warning or even expelled from school depending on the severity of the circumstances; Of special note are common violations such as illegal working with student visa, visa expiration, unruly behavior due to alcohol, and disturbing the peace when staying off campus.

2.国际学生请确认本人的签证/居留许可有效期，并在签证/居留许可过期前10天开始办理相关手续（不包含法定节假日，1月28日-2月4日为法定假期）。根据《中华人民共和国出境入境管理法》，签证过期需缴纳每天五百元的罚款。

Please check your visa/residence permit. Make sure you go through visa/residence permit extension procedures at least 10 days before your visa/residence permit expires（January 28 - February 4 is a public holiday). According to The Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People’s Republic of China, student whose visa expires will be fined RMB 500 every day after the expiration date.

3.国际学生在中国境内旅馆住宿的，旅馆应当按照旅馆业治安管理的有关规定为其办理住宿登记，并向所在地公安机关报送外国人住宿登记信息。国际学生在旅馆以外的其他住所居住或者住宿的，应当在入住二十四小时内由本人或者留宿人，向居住地的公安机关办理登记。

违反上述规定，不办理住宿登记的外国人，依据《中华人民共和国出境入境管理法》第七十六条第一款第（六）项的规定，给予警告可以并处2000元以下的罚款。

If you live in the hotel, the hotel will complete accommodation registration for you. If you live in any other place, please report to the local police station within 24 hours to complete accommodation registration. International students who violate the above provisions will be given a warning and fined as much as RMB 2000.

4.国际学生非法就业的，处五千元以上二万元以下罚款；情节严重的，处五日以上十五日以下拘留，并处五千元以上二万元以下罚款。

International students who work in China illegally will be fined no less than RMB 5,000 but no more than RMB 20,000. If the circumstances are serious, he or she shall be detained for no less than five days but not more than fifteen days and shall also be fined no less than RMB 5,000 but no more than 20,000.

5.校内严禁进行传教及宗教聚会等活动。严禁在非宗教场所进行宗教仪式。国际学生在我国境内进行宗教活动必须遵守《中华人民共和国境内外国人宗教活动的管理规定》等相关规定。

Students are forbidden to do missionary work or hold religious assemblies on campus. It is strictly forbidden to perform religious ceremonies in non-religious places. When conducting or joining in religious activities, students must comply with relevant laws and regulations in China.
